Executive Board of Elementary Education
About EBEE
The Executive Board of Elementary Education is here to support the Catholic Elementary Schools of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia!
The Archbishop of Philadelphia has primary responsibility for the total mission of Catholic Education in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. The Executive Board of Elementary Education (EBEE) receives its authority from the Archbishop. It is charged with advising and recommending to the Archbishop strategic direction and educational policies with respect to the elementary schools within the Archdiocese. The EBEE is also charged with overseeing the Advisory Councils for Elementary Education in each of the counties within the Archdiocese: Philadelphia, Bucks, Delaware, Montgomery, and Chester.
The EBEE will provide strategic direction to the Secretary for Elementary Education, the Office of Catholic Education, OCE, and will collaborate with the Chief Academic Officer/Superintendent for Secondary Schools. The Office of Catholic Education will be responsible for providing direction for Catholic identity, academic curriculum, the setting of standards for academic personnel, and such other support as may be required for each of the elementary schools within the Archdiocese. Appropriate reporting and measurements will be the responsibility of the OCE so that the EBEE can determine effectiveness of strategies and determine ongoing direction.
