Job Description:

Christ the King Catholic School is accepting applications for an Advancement, Marketing and Admissions Director.  

- Full/Part time position
- Works for the school under the supervision of the Principal and Pastor
- Works within school hours (7:30 AM – 3:30 PM) during the school year
       * Part Time hours can be negotiated
- Works during summer hours - schedule determined by Principal
- Attends quarterly School Board meetings to deliver relevant reports
- Presence occasionally required at school/parish events

Position Summary:
The Position of Admissions, Marketing, and Advancement Director:
• Oversees all aspects of recruitment, admissions, fundraising, and marketing and assists in determining financial aid
• Responsible for setting and maintaining professional writing and design standards for school communications. This includes, but is not limited to:
          ▪ Print publications including school newsletter/magazine, marketing materials, giving program brochures, and direct mail pieces
          ▪ Electronic communications including website, social media, and email
          ▪ Media relations including advertising and press releases in local newspapers, local media coverage of school events
          • Facilitates a growth in enrollment, promotes a stronger presence of the school on social media, seeks out opportunities for growing our donor base specifically through alumni outreach, and coordinates with the pastor and principal to develop strategies to ensure enrollment and advancement goals
• Is responsible for the planning, management and implementation of the marketing, recruitment, and retention of students
• Is responsible for the planning, management, and implementation of all fundraising and friend raising initiatives
• Plans for sufficient financial and service resources (including volunteers) to ensure the school can achieve its mission
• Plans, manages, and implements annual giving, major gifts, and events. This includes but is not limited to: prospect identification and research, cultivation, solicitation, gift processing, acknowledgments and stewardship
• Spearheads the school’s public relations efforts in conjunction with the principal and pastor
• Supervises database management: oversees the management of databases as it relates to enrollment management and development, especially the updating and maintaining of the alumni database

The qualifications we desire in the Director of Admissions and Development:
• Should be a person who is a team player, has a warm and personable nature, has positive energy, has a good sense of humor, possesses strong organizational and prioritization skills, and is self-motivated to complete work
• Has exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, outstanding writing and public speaking skills, and the ability to interact with a variety of personalities are a must
• Should be empathetic to the circumstances of prospective families, is aware of the needs and sensitivities of parents, students, faculty, staff, and administrators, and is able to manage expectations and deliver admissions decisions in an honest, caring, and diplomatic fashion
• Should have working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and the Internet
• Should have experience in a parochial or not-for-profit environment (preferred)
• Should have a bachelor’s degree in related field (strongly preferred)
• Should have the ability to appreciate and communicate a passion for Catholic elementary education
• Should be a practicing Catholic in good standing (strongly preferred)
