Archbishop John Carroll High School in Radnor (Delaware County) will host the “John the Cool” Wiffle Ball Tournament in memory of John Dawson McCullough, a cherished member of the junior class, who passed away in November following an unexpected cardiac event.
The Roman Catholic High School of Philadelphia will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for a state-of-the-art Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Center. The construction of the new center is being made possible by Mr. Daniel M. DiLella '69’s $10 million lead gift. It represents the largest single donor commitment in the school’s 136-year history. The new STEM Center will be built on the current site of Roman Catholic’s parking lot on Vine Street.
THREE ARCHDIOCESE OF PHILADELPHIA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TEACHERS RECOGNIZED BY THE PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES
Mrs. Megen Demeter, 3rd Grade Teacher at Holy Rosary Regional Catholic School in Plymouth Meeting (Montgomery County); Mrs. Irene Moll, 1st Grade Teacher at Saint Pius X Parish School in Broomall (Delaware County); and Mrs. Theresa Polizzi 8th Grade Teacher at Saint Pio Regional Catholic School in South Philadelphia were among ten educators in the region recognized as All-Star Teachers by the Philadelphia Phillies prior to their game on Friday, May 8 as part of the Phillies 26th annual Teacher Appreciation Night.
